Light and Sal had their wedding on a beautiful day in Long Beach, at the CSULB Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden. The garden allows you to hold your ceremony on a bridge! Can’t think of a more romantic spot to get married on. After the wedding, we headed over to a park that they frequent with their three doggies, one of which got to walk down the aisle. The day only got better and better as we hit our last stop, the Long Beach State baseball stadium: Blair Field, where he once played, and where he also proposed! He told us how the Long Beach State University’s baseball team got their nickname Dirtbags…how it refers to their gritty play and determination…how the LBSU team first started out with all new players without a home field. They’d practice at a local all-dirty pony field, covered in dirt, and win its first 18 games, advancing to their first College World Series appearance. The best part of the story is, Sal brought Light on their first date to this special place which he told her was his “Field of Dreams”… after Sal proposed to Light at a Long Beach State baseball game, he told her that she made one more dream come true at Blair Field.

Light was one of the most relaxed, kick-back brides I ever met. Everything was carefree. This was the one detail she did put her handprint on for her wedding day, and it was worth it:

His name is Cocoa. He is beloved. He presented the ring and got to strut the walk down the aisle.

Sal said that he loves how Light is beautiful. Oh yea, and smart, funny, practical, and loves to cook. So awesome…I think I have one of those things: loves to cook. But here’s Light:

A little shoot we did with our good friends before their wedding. Liz was the maid of honor, but I couldn’t resist getting a few pics! So we scheduled a beautiful get together where we revisited the spot of the original proposal, went on the same gondola ride, and even ate at the same restaurant! Such an amazing time for us, and one we’ll always remember… -Timon

Lily and Warren’s Wedding Day

Here are some photos from Lily and Warren’s wedding! I hope you got to check out their slideshow from my last post!

I’ve known Lily from way back in college, when we used to be in the Navigators together at UCLA. I’m counting…that means we’ve known each other now for over 10 years. WoW! I’m so happy that God brought Lily and Warren together, they are so sweet and caring of each other. Their wedding was such a wonderful celebration and simply yet beautifully stated. They wanted most, [1] to enjoy the time and celebrate with their friends, of which can I say, lots of friends?! even many who travelled across the country! And, [2] to declare their commitment to loving and serving each other as shown in the Bible. They washed each other’s feet during the ceremony, for example. I loved how they did things uniquely to best stay true to their priorities and it was a joy and honor to photograph their day. It was a blast shooting with my hubbie as always.

I envision this photo being shared with future generations and little Lee’s… ;)

Heading to the ceremony in our car…Timon driving. He’s doubl-y talented in case you didn’t know. :) I can only focus on one thing…photos, but he can chew gum, drive in an unfamiliar area, and have his head focused on photos all at the same time. And make good conversation!

After-the-wedding-bliss:

Remember the cake…Lily’s little sister made her TWO cakes and cupcakes! Anyone need a cake-person, holler over there!

They didn’t have a flower girl but sure did have an adorable little niece that played with flowers!

Gotta let myself loose in post-production sometimes :)

I personally highly value the ability after a wedding to have nice family shots from the wedding day, so I’m glad there was time to grab a ‘sisters’ shot in some nice light!
