…in a Nutshell

We’re a husband-and-wife team based in sunny Southern California, and we shoot local and destination weddings. During our seven years of marriage, we’ve enjoyed many memories and adventures together, all of which we still treat with sentimentality and a little bit of sappiness. If we have an experience of something unique, exciting, funny, groundbreaking, defining, or a ‘first’, we look to one another as the one person we definitely hoped to have shared it with. Photos, personally for us, are a way to capture moments and experiences so that they can be remembered vividly, no matter how much time passes. Each experience that we can spend together is special and not mundane or taken for granted, and we want to be able to always remember. We have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with some amazing people through photography, during the most important times in their lives, and we treasure that opportunity to be able to capture their moment in time.

Liz… in 3 words, she LOVES photos. She treasures and has a special attachment to every one. She probably loves them more than our clients themselves. If there was a fire, she would grab our albums and hard drives before anything else. Liz can’t help but treat each wedding with as much importance as if it were our own wedding. She pours her heart into each photo until it’s something she thinks our client will love.

Timon is a fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants artistic type who likes to take photos that are crazy-romantic, … and sometimes just crazy (which our clients tend to like!). As far as the romantic in him, he blames it on the one summer that he was really bored as a kid and read through his older sister’s romance novel series. He’s the “inspiration” guy, who gets inspired by real people, real places, and real significances in the thing he’s about to document. He’s the one who shoots with his heart, and tries to get the “awww” photo unique to each couple and setting. I also highly appreciate how he’s intensely intuitive on how to take a portrait of someone from a certain precise angle which is uniquely best for just that person.

A Little More on Us: Vibrant Joy, Classic Memories

Photography for both of us is a way to capture ‘firsts’, and those defining times in our lives. We like to give a couple or a family, photos that they would easily think of as ‘the’ photo which depicts the story of them at one specific point in time… photos that can be casually framed for the mantle, or gathered to form a cherished album which will be shown to your children when they’ve grown. Our style is aimed at classic, timeless, believable, reminiscent. We really want for our subjects to like and feel comfortable with how how they look in a photo, and to feel like themselves. At the end of every session, our favorite shots are those that feature a person’s natural beauty, that glow from beautiful light and colors, and that capture happy faces.
