A little about us…

We’re a husband-and-wife photographer team, based in sunny Los Angeles, and we shoot local and destination weddings. During our seven years of marriage, we’ve enjoyed many memories and adventures together, and photography is one of those adventures that we’re passionate about. Photos, personally, are a way to capture moments and experiences so that they can be remembered vividly, no matter how much time passes. Professionally, we’ve had the privilege of being able to share our love for photography with some of the most amazing people we have ever met, during the best time in their lives. We don’t take for granted the unique opportunity and privilege to forever immortalize your moment in time, and we absolutely love what we do.

Timon is your day-of wedding photographer and timeline logistics guy who will work with you from day one to help you create a nice looking timeline from a photography standpoint. Liz is our master editor/post-production guru, family portrait photographer, and resident graphic artist. We love color and natural light, flair, and natural emotion that makes a photo authentic. We also love any photo that brings out the true and unaltered emotion of a special moment. I guess we would define ourselves as photojournalist portraiture with an artistic flair. Sometimes it’s about creating a beautiful moment…other times it’s about being in the right place, getting out of the way, and just capturing a glimpse of life. And we believe that photography is an experience…it’s not only about getting great photos, it’s about having an amazing and unforgettable time doing it.

What’s in a Name?

You might wonder why Timon is the main wedding day photographer if the business name is Liz Wang Photography.  Well for one thing, Timon’s name, (pronounced Tie-Mun, not Timon from the Lion King, but he doesn’t mind) confuses people and is highly associated with the Disney character, and while we love Disney themed weddings, it didn’t quite work for us.  Also, the initial idea and inspiration for what we do started with Liz’s vision of wedding photography that was high-end, yet personal and emotional.  What you get with us is the attention and focus of a single photographer before and during your wedding day (Timon) and after for albums and post-processing (Liz).  We’re just extensions of each other and our vision to create masterpiece memories.  Brides and grooms spend so much time during the course of a wedding day with their photographer, and we want to make that experience a personal and fun one, where you know who your photographer is, and what we’re about!  We’ve always had new ideas for a name, but in the end it is just us, and getting to do what we love…
