I’m excited to finally get to share this photo shoot we did with Katie and Hieu! Hieu and I were great friends from college so it was really neat to photograph their pre-wedding photos and get to meet his sweet and beautiful Katie for the first time. We had such a good time! Timon and I were happy about the way these turned out, as we believe it definitely shows our style and vision which I was so happy to see come to life with Katie and Hieu’s session. We hope you enjoy them as well!

“A few” favorite shots…
I can’t believe it was ‘just’ 5 years ago that Su-Wen was a bridesmaid in our wedding! Su-Wen and Drew’s wedding was a blast, they really knew how to throw a party and be such hospital hosts at their own wedding throughout the whole celebration. I wasn’t officially photographing at all, just a friend with a camera, poking through other heads occasionally at the last minute. You’ll be able to see that in the ceremony photos especially, but it’s Su-wen, so I love the feel of what it looked like from a guest’s point of view as well.
For as long as I’ve known Su-Wen, she’s consistently been such an awesome friend. She’s a totally cool person that no one could possibly not get along with, fun, and so unfocused on herself…unselfish and giving. Just as a simple example, Su’s plans for the day before the wedding were to take her guests visiting from Japan out to tour San Francisco and entertain them all day and into the evening the day and night before her wedding! I still remember that the day before our wedding, Su was cleaning my bathroom so that we could get ready the next morning in a clean bathroom. Wow, it must’ve been pretty dirty too for her to suggest such a thing ;P
So I’m so excited to finally get to share a few photos from their wedding. Everything about their venue was so perfect. Palmdale Estates in Fremont… It was beautiful. I also enjoyed how the dancing was held in a separate room because that way all the energy and fun was focused in the room. I particularly thought that was such a great idea and it was really fun. Congratulations Su and Drew! =)

Yippee, I’m finally getting around to posting Tamara and Fabo’s wedding! So I wasn’t originally planning on taking photos but since Timon and I were already bringing our cameras to help with the guest photo book, they asked if we could just snatch some shots here and there for the book as well. Their venue: Rancho Capistrano in O.C.

I know this was a while ago, but I still wanted to make a ‘lil post for these two! : ) I know it’s hard to believe, but I also will have two more events posting up really soon… Tamara and Fabian’s wedding and Su-Wen and Drew’s wedding! I’ve been pushing through to get some work done and I’m finally getting somewhere! Hooray…at Monica and Ernesto’s wedding, Timon and I were shooting with Jeremy Lum who was the main photographer. Jer’s really fun, helpful, and nice to shoot with so we were really glad for the fun times!
Because of some rain, the outdoor ceremony actually had to be moved indoors to where the reception was to be held. It was really neat though to see that despite the last minute setback, anyone who was there will tell you that they could see how happy Monica and Ernesto were to simply be at the altar and celebrate with family and friends. It was a true party and wonderful celebration. I believe the electric slide was even attempted by a few fun souls, which just reminds me that my bare foot was stepped on by high heels in the process. Ouch! Why I myself was wearing heels and a skirt while photographing the day is beyond me. I think once was enough and I’ve stuck with pants and shoes ever since. Yes, much better as one might imagine.
Anyway, I do also look forward to posting their very cute engagement session as well in the near future, so stay tuned for that! For now, here are just a few of my favorites from the day.

Tamara and Fabian are such an awesome couple. I learned a lot about them as individuals at their wedding when people got to speak about them. I admire how they practically live out an eternal perspective in their everyday lives and hold qualities that I know I need to work on. It was a joy to practice on them in Malibu,…right before the fires happened. Fabo was goofy as usual and Tamara was totally calm and natural.
On another note, I just got a great external hard drive to use now for backups which I have been happy with. From Otherworld Computing (OWC), I purchased the 500gig external Mercury Elite Pro. It has been an awesome drive serving me really well. I definitely recommend both the store and the external drive. They were both recommended to me by several other photographers. I now back up all my photos 3 times to different media immediately after a shoot. My computer hard drive, external hard drive, and DVDs, and then I leave it on the memory card until I absolutely need to delete it for the next shoot.
