I seriously enjoyed working on every single photo because she was so adorable in each one of them and she had a million expressions, each one differing in some some cute way in each and every picture. In the hundreds of photos I took, she really did have a different, adorable expression in each one. I could hardly believe a one year old could have that many looks and expressions!
I should do a post just dedicated to all her different awesome expressions, but for now, some highlights…

In my family there are 4 too, but it’s nearly impossible to take a photo together.
Time for some me time to just relax after my party!
Last photo! Look familiar? That’s because it’s a favorite… I’m glad I stayed past the end of the party, because I got this one AFTER the party, during cleanup!
While Timon was gone for the camping trip, I drove around to scout for locations where I could do the family session which was going to be last Saturday, and couldn’t help but spot these two girls having SO MUCH FUN together at a park in santa clarita. They were laughing hysterically non-stop and immediately stood out to me as the perfect photo opp.
The mom happens to be the owner of Creation Station, a dance class for kids in studio city (creationstationstudiocity.com), and she told me that her husband is actually a photographer! How scary to email a photographer’s family a photo of their own beautiful girls whom I’m sure he’s taken plenty of beautiful pictures of!
When I started seeing the photo in my head, I remembered the advice that I got from a photographer who I just met last week. He told me the first and best thing to do is to get over being afraid of using my camera on people.
So last week I went along with Kat from Next Exit Photography to learn from her as she took photos for the city of Santa Monica for their new advertising campaign, and help get waivers signed from people we ended up photographing. This is exactly what was unknown territory to me and I wanted to see how another photographer does it. I definitely gained a lot from going out with her and appreciated her so much. I definitely wouldn’t have gotten this photo without the bit of advice about confidence I learned from her and her husband.

Before I start getting behind, (since I’m doing another session this saturday–how did time fly so fast!?), here’s a look at the most adorable little 1 year old who I got to photograph a few weeks ago. The family requested a thank you photo so I just quickly chose 3 photos to put onto a 4×6. Oh, did I say most adorable?! What an AMAZING gift from God to give me such a sweet family and the CUTEST little girl who stayed happy the entire time for my very first shoot. Also, thank you SO MUCH Ben! Of course I’d have completely missed it without your tremendous generosity! I hope you’re having fun taking photos at the men’s outing as I write this!
